Minutes of Meeting Pre-fellowship started at 6 PM on Zoom where many members joined and interacted with each other on various topics. Post pre-Fellowship, the meeting was called to order by Pres. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay and all members and guests were welcomed to the meeting. President Amitabha updated all members about the Vaccination on Wheels Project status. 82974 vaccines have been administered as on 7th August. N95 Mask distribution donated by TKT Greentek Pvt. Ltd. was continued with 1800 masks given to Ratna Memorial Hospital. Rtn Oni Kakajiwala handed over the masks to Dr Sanjay Lambu of the Hospital. Rtn Surendra Shroff had arranged the presentation. The President updated everyone about Rotary International President Rtn. Shekhar Mehta’s meeting with Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to discuss development issues where Rotary can work with the Government. An online meeting was held with DG Rtn. Pankaj Shah to discuss the “Covid 19 Vaccine-On-Wheels” Project. Meeting was attended by Rtn. Ravi Rajapurkar, District Director CSR, Rtn. PP Arvind Saraf - District Co-Director CSR, Pres. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay, Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor and Rtn. Jignesh Patel. RI Nomination committee of RY 2021-22 to nominate RI President for RY 2023-24, has unanimously nominated Rtn. Gordan Mcinally of Scotland to lead RI in 2023-24. We wished happy birthday to Rtn. Tony Sachdev, R'Ann Deepa Dharane, Rtn. Prasanta Choudhury, Rtn. Vipen Malhotra, Rtn PP Madhu Rathi. We wished happy anniversary to Rtn. Baakir and R'Ann Razia Baker and Rtn. Parvin and R'Ann Neena Malhotra. This week Dr Amol Raut gave a talk on the topic of ' Get fit with genetic secrets'. In his talk he revealed interesting facts about the connection between our genes and the kind of diet and exercise that should be chosen to benefit an individual. He spoke about how people are born with a morning clock gene or evening clock gene. If this is understood by carrying out a genetic analysis, it helps one chose one's exercise timings. Similarly depending upon the genetic make-up one can chose one's diet also that will make a positive impact on health.
