| Minutes of Meeting | The first event of this year was the "Navratri Celebration Fellowship Dinner" held on Saturday 9th October at Poona Club. Pre-fellowship started at 6:30 PM and the members interacted with each other. The new members whose induction was planned also joined. Post pre-Fellowship, the meeting was called to order by Pres. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay and all members were welcomed to the meeting. President Amitabha updated all members about the Vaccination on Wheels Project status. 3,02,514 vaccines have been administered as on 9th October. President informed the members that RCP Bibwewadi acknowledged the support and encouragement provided by RCP Central over the last three years. The recognition was received by Pres. Amitabha and PP Ravi on behalf of the Club. Female Hygiene being an active project at RCP Central, we offered to partner with RCP Bibwewadi in their ‘Project Asmita’. Our contribution would be decided once the fund raising exercise is completed. Rtn. Shital Shah has been elected unopposed as DGND 2024-25 of Rotary District 3131. Eye Check Up Camp was conducted at Maher Ashram, Vadhu Budruk. A total of 325 students and the staff were checked of which 10 are referred to the clinic, 40 of the students need refractive specs and 9 adults were issued with reading glasses. Oni and Nafisa Kakajiwala organised this Camp. The Shirur Diabetes Check-up Campaign was successfully completed as part of the Rotary India initiative to achieve the milestone of 1 million check-ups. Rtn. Dr. Sarang Rote, Rtn. Pankaj Mehrotra and Rtn. Anil Bora attended the event. In the Mega E-waste Collection Drive on 2nd October, Rashtriya Swachta Diwas, our Club collected a huge quantity of 832 kgs of E-Waste. 38 Clubs took part and collected a total of 20 tonnes. This drive was very successful and was coordinated by Rtn. Nitin Rajore and Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor for RCPC. President announced the Nomination Committee Election date as 20th November. Like last year, this time too it would be done electronically. He appraised the members about the election process. Following new members were inducted into the Club: 1. Delshad Karanjia 2. Jeevan Mahaldar 3. Jitendra Sandu The Membership Director, Rtn Raman Nanda introduced the new members to all. President Amitabha administered the oath and handed over the welcome kit. We greeted happy birthday to Rtn. Mahendra Mittal, Mr Histas Randeria, Rtn. PP Surendra Kumar Jain, R'Ann Uma More, R'Ann Razia Baker, R'Ann Namrata Sarda. We wished happy anniversary to Rtn Deepak and R'Ann Neena Dheer, Rtn. Sujata and Dr. Prem Nanda. A quick fundraising activity was carried out by PE Uday Dharmadhikari for supporting Moledina School Children who are unable to pay their school fees. 3000 Rs is the amount needed for one student. Many members came forward to support the needy students. Rtn Shashi Saxena is leading the initiative. The meeting was followed by a sumptuous fellowship dinner. All the members had a great time catching up with each other after a long break. The heavy rains did not dampen the spirits at all! Next Week Saturday, 16th October 2021 on Zoom at 6 pm Rtn.
