| Minutes of Meeting | The Annual General Meeting of our club was held on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Poona Club – Terrace. It was followed by X’mas Celebration and Fellowship Dinner. The AGM was organised as a hybrid event with few members attending the meeting online over Zoom. Pre-fellowship started at 6:30 pm with members present physically interacting with the online attendees as well. Post pre-Fellowship, the meeting was called to order by Pres. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay and all members and guests were welcomed to the meeting. The members paid homage to former Rtn. Kantilal Patel who passed away on 23rd December 2021 due to old age. He was 87 years old. He joined Rotary Club of Pune Central in 1984 and was member of RCPC for more than 30 years. He left the club few years back due to old age. He was in business of textiles. He was very active Rotarian in his prime. For many years he successfully handled fellowship committee. He was also member of BOD for 2 / 3 years in the initial period of RCPC. IPP Ajay Dubey and Treasurer Sunil Asher placed the RY 2020-21 Audited Financial Statement of RCPC Club and Trust accounts in the AGM. The accounts were approved by the members. As a salute to spirit of giving, the members appreciated the contribution of 1. Rtn. PP Suhas and R’Ann Kalpana Merchant who donated USD 722 - APF and become Major Donor Level 2. 2. Rtn. Dr. Ashok Bhave - donated USD 200 for APF 3. Rtn Arun Shroff - donated USD 200 for APF. 4. Donation of Rs 7,38,510/- was received from Eaton Company for the Mobile Covid vaccination project. President Amitabha updated members about the Vaccination on Wheels Project status. 564790 vaccines have been administered as on 24th Dec. 5. Donation of Rs 6,19,500/- was received from BMC software company for the Robotics Project. This project will be implemented by Educate to Elevate Trust, Robotics India. Around 200 girl students of 8th Grade from Pune ZP School Dhanore and Chakan will be given training in Robotics. This would be a 6 month programme conducted in hybrid mode. On completion, the students will receive Certification from Robotex India, Robotex International, NSDC, MEITY. 6. Donation of Rs 3,00,000 was received for E Vidya Project. Rtn Oni and Nafisa Kakajiwala continued with the Mask Distribution Project. 6000 - N95 masks were handed over to Mr. Dipesh of Vaccine-On-Wheel for Covid 19 Vaccination Project. Induction of two new members was done in the meeting. Everyone welcomed Mr. Shireesh and Mrs. Mukta Nadkar and Mr. Rajesh and Mrs. Pushpa Yadav to the RCPC family. Membership Director Rtn. Raman Nanda introduced the new members and Pledge was administered by Pres. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay. We wished happy birthday to R'Ann Rajashree Shah, R'Ann Ahana Gupta, Rtn. Jeevan Mahaldar, R'Ann Ruby Jhunjhunwala. We wished happy anniversary to Rtn. Sunil and R’Ann Jasma Asher, Rtn. PP Arvind and Rtn. Vidya Saraf, Rtn. Pradip and R'Ann Nirmala Keluskar. In the end, President Elect Uday Dharmadhikari introduced the RY 2022-23 Board of Directors in the meeting. He also informed that Rtn. PP Neeraj Handa will be club trainer for RY 2022-23. Inspite of the restrictions in timing due to Covid protocols, the members enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and live music. Everyone made the most of the opportunity to meet and greet each other after a long time. |
