Minutes of Meeting Diwali Celebration and Fellowship: Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Hotel Shantai RCPC’s Diwali Fellowship Dinner was held on October 15th at Hotel Shantai. Pre-fellowship started at 6.30 p.m. It was an evening of festivity. Members dressed in the best of traditional attire exchanged Diwali greetings. The hall was beautifully decorated with flowers, rangolis, and Diwali lights. President Uday Dharmadhikari called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. and welcomed all members, guests, and visiting Rotarians. President Uday thanked Rtn. Madhvi Kshettry, Rtn. Arun Shroff, and Dolly Desai for their generous contributions to RCPC projects. He also gave a brief update on the upcoming Club Nominating Committee Election which will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022. We wished happy birthday to our fellow members Rtn. PP Ebe Chaney, Rtn. Dr. Balasaheb Bande, R’Ann Uma Choudhury, Rtn. Subhash Devi, R’Ann Lata Agarwal, Rtn. Vanita Bajaj, R’Ann Usha Sakhrani, R’Ann Dipti Chitnis, Rtn. PP Dr. Anand Bhatia, R’Ann Shubh Sachdeva, and R’Ann Kamini Sanghvi. We also wished happy wedding anniversary to Rtn. PP Arjun and R’Ann Aruna Jethwani, Rtn. Shirish and R’Ann Gaury Mohile, and Rtn. PP Dr. Nasir and R’Ann Noorjahan Kazi. Rtn. Vipen Malhotra made an announcement about the upcoming Piano Charity Concert, which will be held on November 19, 2022, at Mazda Hall, Dastur School, Pune Camp. This event will be sponsored by ICICI Securities. Guests from ICICI Securities who joined us at the meeting were given a warm welcome. President Uday quickly went through the regular agenda items before adjourning the meeting and handing over to Rtn. Arun Shroff, the Fellowship Host Group leader, who welcomed everyone on behalf of the group. The Diwali festivity began with a lovely bhajan sung by Rtn. Amita Munot. Our talented Rotarians and R’Anns enthralled everyone with some melodious Bollywood numbers. Many Rotarians took to the dance floor. The evening was made lively and entertaining by the amazing hosts R’Ann Namrata Sarda and R’Ann Urmi Rathod. There were prizes galore to be won by members. Rtn. Pankaj Mehrotra won the Best Dressed Male award while Rtn. Madhvi Kshettry won the Best Dressed Female award. Rtn. Giri and R’Ann Usha Sakhrani won the Best Dressed Couple award. Throughout the evening, drinks and delicious snacks kept the party spirit going. The dinner, with an elaborate vegetarian menu, was very thoughtfully planned and everyone enjoyed it thoroughly. The entire programme was very well curated by the Host Group and all the members appreciated the event.
