| Minutes of Meeting | It was a cloudy evening last Saturday, but despite being apprehensive about getting caught in a drizzle on the Poona Club terrace, members participated in the pre-Fellowship and interacted with each other. At 7 p.m., the meeting was called to order by President Uday Dharmadhikari, who extended a warm welcome to members and visiting Rotarians. President Uday informed members about the enjoyable Piano Charity Concert, which was held on November 19, 2022, at Mazda Hall, Dastur School, Pune Camp. He thanked Rtn. Oni Kakajiwala, Rtn. Lalit Vij, and Rtn. Brig. PK Muralidharan Raja for their generous contributions to RCPC projects. President Uday gave a brief update on various Club projects, including the eye check-up camp at St Clares School in Nana Peth, the river clean-up at Ludhiana, and the paper bag workshops for Interactors. He also provided an update on the District Event Audarya — TRF Seminar, where Rtn. PP Rakesh Bhargava, Rtn. PP Ajay and Rtn. Rooma Dubey, and Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor were honoured with a “Certificate of Appreciation” for their Endowment Contribution. President Uday gave members a short update on the upcoming Rotary Boxing Championship, which will be held on December 11, 2022, at MIT ADT Campus, Loni Kalbhor. We wished happy birthday to our fellow members Rtn. Dr. Saroj Bande, Rtn. Lalit Vij, R’Ann Nafisa Kakajiwala, and R’Ann Suchi Bhargava. We also wished Rtn. Dr. Ashok and R’Ann Dr. Sheila Bhave, Rtn. Narendra and R’Ann Kamini Sanghvi, Rtn. PP Ajay and Rtn. Rooma Dubey, Rtn. Girdharilal and R’Ann Usha Sakhrani, Rtn. Dr. Sarang and R’Ann Dr. Bhavna Rote, and Rtn. Manish and R’Ann Shruti Singh a happy wedding anniversary. President Uday announced the result of the Nominating Committee deliberations. The proposed Board of Directors for the RY 2023–24 were also announced: President Uday informed the members that any objection to the proposed President Elect and board members should be sent by email and proposing an alternative name by December 1, 2022. The Annual General Meeting of Rotary Club of Pune Central will be held at 6.30 p.m. on December 24, 2022, at the Poona Club. The AGM’s Agenda will include the presentation and approval of Club and Trust Accounts for the Year Ended June 30, 2022. President Uday welcomed and handed over the meeting to Rtn. PP Prakash Gurbaxani, who had organised the evening’s fun activity — “How well do you know your spouse?” — along with wine and cheese. Rtn. Vinay and R’Ann Archana Biyani, Rtn. Sameer and R’Ann Reshma Desai, Rtn. Dr. Shilpa and Dr Shashikant Dudhgaonkar, and Rtn. President Uday and R’Ann Savita Dharmadhikari participated in the game. The winners of the evening were Rtn. Dr. Shilpa and Dr Shashikant Dudhgaonkar. Rtn. Rakesh Makhija sponsored the wines and Rtn. PP Prakash Gurbaxani sponsored the cheese. Members thoroughly enjoyed the evening, which was followed by Happy Wine hours and biryani sponsored by Rtn. Shrikant Sarda. The evening’s Hosts and Fellowship Committee deserve a big “thank you” |
