Minutes of Meeting Pre-Fellowship started at 6.30 p.m. at the Turf Club – Dining Hall, where many members interacted on various topics. President Uday Dharmadhikari called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. and welcomed all members, guests, and visiting Rotarians. President Uday extended a warm welcome to foreign visiting Rotarians Rtn. Gustav and R’Ann Maria, Rtn. Jappe and R’Ann Ulla, Rtn. Hans Bjernald, and Rtn. Johan and Rtn. Prabha Brutsner from Sweden and exchanged Club flags with them. President Uday thanked Alkyl and BMC for their generous contributions to CSR Projects. He congratulated Rtn. Nitin Desai, who was recently conferred with an Honorary D.Litt — Doctor of Letters — Honoris Causa by Ajinkya D.Y. Patil University. President Uday thanked Rtn. Arun Jindal for the excellent arrangements and warm hospitality during members’ Vocational Visit to Western India Forgings Pvt. Ltd’s plant located at Sanaswadi. We wished happy birthday to our fellow members R’Ann Teena Goyal, R’Ann Jyoti Kapoor, R’Ann Jalpa Tewari, R’Ann Reshma Desai, Rtn. Dr. Bhagwanti Nanwani, R’Ann Anjali Kharadkar, Rtn. Pradeep Dharane, Rtn. Satyam Kumar, and R’Ann Smita Pingale. We also wished happy anniversary to Rtn. Behzad and Mr. Histas Randeria, Rtn. Surendra and R’Ann Radhika Shroff, Rtn. Ashish and R’Ann Teena Goyal, Rtn. IPP Amitabha and R’Ann Manvir Mukhopadhyay, Rtn. Santanu and R’Ann Priyanka Banerjee, Rtn. Jignesh and R’Ann Disha Patel, Rtn. PP Dr. Anand and R’Ann Dr. Sita Bhatia, Rtn. Cawas and R’Ann Hutokshi Pundole, Rtn. PP Ebe and R’Ann Nargis Chaney, and Rtn. Darshan and R’Ann Urmi Rathod. Club Assembly: Creating History Together President Uday Dharmadhikari launched the Club Assembly on a high note, pointing out that RCPC members had committed a record-breaking amount of Rs. 94,38,000 for club projects and Rs. 1,66,16,248 ($ 202,000) for CSR Projects for Rotary year 2022–23. “We are creating history together,” he said. “It is time to reflect, reframe, and reshape in the coming months.” Rtn. Lekha Nair, Vice President and Director — Club Administration, pointed out that 25 meetings were held between July 2022 and January 2023, with 13 guest speakers and 12 internal programs. Also, after the meetings, 11 Happy Wine Hours, 4 Mini Fellowship, and 4 Main Fellowship Dinners had been organised. She added that the objectives of the Bulletin have largely been achieved, and members have actively participated in, contributed to, and enjoyed reading the weekly issues. Rtn. Nitin Rajore, Director — Membership, said eight new members — Rtn. Mukund Sheth, Rtn. Shantanu Banerjee, Rtn. Nandan Kumar Pugalia, Rtn. Dr. Shilpa Dudhgaonkar, Rtn. Sameer Desai, Rtn Sagar Khandelwal, Rtn. Aseem Srivastav, and Rtn. Yamini Zaveri — had come on board between July 2022 and January 2023. The committee was confident of achieving 10 percent membership growth, and hoped to add new lady members and members below the age of 40. Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor, Director — International Service and The Rotary Foundation (TRF), acknowledged RCPC’s distinguished TRF donors who have committed Rs. 18.5 lakhs to the fund. He also presented an update on various Global Grant Projects, including Gift of Life and Gift of Vision, among others. Rtn. PP Arvind Saraf, Director — CSR and Global Grant Projects, said that the goal is to raise $150,000 through CSR donations, to strengthen the CSR pipeline, and generate 10 or more qualified leads in the first six months. He added that there were at least 35 prospective leads — 22 existing and 13 new — in the CSR donor pipeline. Rtn. Dr. Sarang Rote, Director — Medical Services, outlined the various projects undertaken by RCPC, including blood donation camps, eye check-up and eye care camps, medical camps, training of junior nurses, and cancer care programs, among others. Rtn. Brig. PK Muralidharan Raja, Director — Non Medical Services, presented an overview of a wide range of projects undertaken by this committee, including providing sanitary napkins, school uniforms, and e-learning kits to the needy, plus the paper bag project, Project Muskan, the coastal clean-up, reforestation, dam repair and restoration, a Boxing Fight Night, and happy village schemes, among several others. Rtn. PP Dr. Madhavi Vaze, Director — Youth Services, spoke about ongoing and planned projects, including vocational guidance programs, assistance to the Jagruti School for Blind Girls, factory visits, learn and earn projects, and setting up of new Rotaract Clubs and involving their members in Club projects. Rtn. Arun Jindal, Director — Public Image, Inter-Club Relations, and Vocational Service, highlighted our club’s involvement in programs that promote RCPC’s image, for example, by actively participating in creating World Heart Day Awareness. Rtn. Shrikant Sarda, Jt. Secretary and Director — Digital Club, gave an overview of activities such as member registration on the Rotary International website, member registration on the Rotary District 3131 website and mobile app, and other upcoming projects. He also offered assistance and support for members to register on the Rotary International and District websites to make RCPC a 100 percent compliant club in the District. Rtn. Vimal Saboo, Hon. Treasurer, presented a brief update on the club’s financial status, including annual subscriptions, filing of tax returns, timely submission of the audit report to the Charity Commissioner, and submission of the FCRA audit to the Ministry of Home Affairs. He requested members to send in the contributions that they had committed to at the Fundraising. Finally, Rtn. PP Madhu Rathi, Director without Portfolio, thanked the President and BOD RY 2022–23 for working together and making RY 2022–23 enjoyable, memorable, and meaningful for all members of RCPC. He also thanked all members for their active participation in programs, projects, and fellowship The meeting was followed by Mini Fellowship.
