President Ajay Chitnis welcomed the Board Members. 2. The minutes of the Board meeting held on July 14, 2023 were approved. 3. Leave of absence for the BoD meeting was approved for Rtn. Dr. Saroj Bande, Rtn. IPP Uday Dharmadhikari, and Rtn. PP Madhu Rathi. No applications for exemption from weekly meeting attendance had been received. Approval of the resignation of Rtn. Shantilal Lunkad was deferred until Rtn. Raja Kharadkar has a chance to speak to him. 4. President Ajay said individual invoices for annual club subscription and RCPC trust donations will be mailed to members after August 14. 5. Rtn. PP Ravi Kapoor said there was good progress on Global Grant and CSR projects, including the CHD Project. 5,300 cataract surgeries out of 11,000 have been done. The HPV vaccine project interim report is still pending. Other projects in the pipeline included fund-raising to provide wheelchairs for handicapped cricket players, the Interact Jamboree, donating Green PCs for Tribal Schools and the Forvia Green Village Project, surgeries for children with Congenital Heart Disease, a neonatal ICU for KEM Hospital, and development of an app available on subscription for 12th standard students. He also recommended that RCPC should sponsor the District Foundation Seminar and handle the logistics of organizing the event. 6. Rtn. Giri Sakhrani said funds were needed for the 14 Trees, dam repair, borewell recharge, paper bag, coastal cleanup and disaster management projects, adding that a plan needed to be put in place for the Happy Village project. 7. Rtn. Nandita Khaire said Youth Services projects were progressing smoothly. 8. Rtn. Ntin Rajore gave an update on the skills development program and suggested that participants be given a card or a bookmark bearing the Four-Way Test and Code of Conduct. Development of a Vocational Diary with details of the skillsets of Rotarians and their spouses was discussed. 9. Rtn. PP Dr. Ramesh Dumbre said that the Assimilation Committee would start Fireside meetings soon. He suggested that a list of the club’s regular projects should be circulated amongst members and regular donors should be contacted for their contributions. 10. Rtn. PP Sanjiv Kumar said raising funds for The Rotary Foundation will start after November. 11. Rtn. Madhvi Kshettry said promotion and use of the Digital App was progressing satisfactorily. 12. Rtn. PE PKM Raja gave a short presentation titled She Can and She Will, a plan to train eight girls aged between 14 to 17 to become boxers to rise in life and promote gender equality. 13.
