| Minutes of Meeting | Our club proudly launched an unusual project ‘She Can & She Will’, aimed at empowering young women from Pune through the sport of boxing. This project will nurture 8 young talented girls from economically backward background. Comprehensive support including basic equipment, specialized training under the mentorship of a Dronacharya Awardee Former Chief National Women’s Head Coach, Sports Science testing, engagement of sports physiotherapists, conditioners, masseurs, data analysis, and nutritional support. It has been initiated by President Elect Rtn. Brigadier PP Raja, and supported by President Rtn. Ajay Chitnis. This news was widely covered in newspapers. It was a proud moment on 25th November when President Rtn. Ajay Chitnis donated twelve Sports Wheelchairs to the Maharashtra Wheelchair Cricket Team. Twelve members of our club participated by donating a chair each, and six donors were present along with local corporator. The following were the donors of the Sports Wheelchairs - Rtn. Aseem Srivastav, Rtn. Delshad Karanjia, Rtn. IPP Uday Dharmadhikari, Rtn. Kanwal Guliani, R'Ann Sonia Rajore, Rtn. Oni Kakajwala, Rtn. PP Sanjiv Kumar, Rtn. Prabhat Singh, Rtn. Pradeep Dharane, Rtn. Pres. Ajay Chitnis and Rtn. Shirish Nadkar. We had Dr Aparna Shankar who spoke on a very important subject of ageing. She and Rtn. Jitendra Sandu gave an apt presentation titled “Gaming strategies for Promoting Mental Wellness”. Rtn. Jitendra has prepared a website through which senior citizens could connect, check their wellness parameters and also find other likeminded senior citizens. Birthday greetings were offered to Rtn Vijai Sarkar, Rtn Dr. Saroj Bande, Rt Lalit Vij, R’Ann Nafisa Kakajiwala. Wedding anniversary greetings were offered to Rtn Dr Ashok & R’Ann Dr Sheila Bhave, Rtn. Narendra & R’Ann Kamini Sanghvi, Rtn Dakshata and Mr. Ashish Agarwal, Rtn. PP Ajay & Rtn. Rooma Dubey, Rtn Giri & R’Ann Usha Sakhrani, Rtn Dr. Sarang and R’Ann Dr. Bhawana Rote. We had Rtn. Dr. Saxena who reminisced about her husband, the late Rtn. PP Dr. Harish Saxena who was the 10th RCPC President for RY 1993-94. |
