| Minutes of Meeting | A Warm Welcome for Visitors from Flacq Rotarians from RC Flacq in Mauritius, including President Nathraj Rugbursing, PP Gooly Kanand, Sawdagur Dharmanandsingh, PP Raj and their families were given a warm welcome at the Poona Club last week. The visitors mingled with RCPC members like long-lost friends. PP Gooly Kanand made an informative presentation about the scenic island of Mauritius and expressed the hope that there could be “a meaningful exchange of ideas” with his 32-member club, whose main focus is on educational, health, social, and environmental issues. The evening began with President Ajay Chitnis introducing the Board of Directors recommended by the Nominating Committee, and after thanking the members, dissolved the Nominating Committee. There remained a vacancy on the Board, that of President Elect for the Year 2025-26. He read out the procedure to be followed as per the Bye-Laws of the Club, and said that the vacancy or indeed, any position on the Board could be contested within the next five days. Updates were provided on the following initiatives and achievements: • Ongoing Eye Check-up Camps for school children, conducted in collaboration with the Community Eye Care Foundation and Optos team. Comprehensive eye examinations were carried out at Sarhad School, Dhankawadi, Katraj, for 531 children and at Sarhad School, Gujarwadi, Katraj, for 775 children. • Upcoming distribution of Spectacles at Ashagram, near Satara • Financial Literacy Training conducted for ITI students and 200 students from three schools at Mulshi. The training was coordinated by Rtn. Rajesh Yadav and Rtn. Jitendra Sandu. The training was sponsored by Rtn PP Madhu Rathi. • Rtn. PP Rakesh Bhargava, distinguished alumnus of IIT Kanpur, and former chairman of Fresenius Kabi Oncology Pvt Ltd, was congratulated on being invited to join IIIT, Una’s esteemed Advisory Council • The CSR Awards Ceremony that our club is co-hosting Birthday greetings were offered to R’Ann Suchi Bhargava, R’Ann Ranjana Bhalla, R’Ann Savita Dharmadhikari, Rtn. PP Rajendra Shah, Rtn. Vidya Saraf, and Rtn. Bharat Shah. Wedding anniversary greetings were offered to Rtn. Satyam Kumar and R’Ann Sneha Bharti, Rtn. PP Dr. Ramesh and R’Ann Bharati Dumbre, Rtn. Vinay and R’Ann Archana Biyani, Rtn. Jitendra and R’Ann Dhanashree Sandu, Rtn. Shrikant and R’Ann Namrata Sarda, Rtn. Yogesh and R’Ann Hina Shah, Rtn. PP Krishan and R’Ann Ruby Jhunjhunwala, Rtn.
