Minutes of Meeting Taking stock of the past seven months During last week’s Club Assembly, RCPC’s directors took stock of the projects and activities undertaken over the past seven months built around Rotary Year 2023–24’s theme to “Create Hope in the World”. President Ajay outlined the aims of the Club Assembly, namely to: • Provide each member with deeper insights into the Club and its ongoing projects • Bring clarity to the implementation of all planned projects • Foster debate and progressive discussions for effective implementation • Unite in the spirit of Rotary and make a meaningful difference together. President Ajay added that the Club Assembly is the cornerstone of strengthening the club and plays a crucial role in shaping our collective journey to Create Hope in the World and make a lasting impact in the community. Towards that end, he announced that RCPC had received donations of Rs. 2.5 crores already, and had already executed a number of projects in almost all the avenues of service adopted by Rotary International. Vice President Ashish Goyal and directors Giri Sakhrani, Arun Shroff, Dr. Saroj Bande, Madhvi Kshettry and Nitin Rajore made short presentations giving progress reports on their respective projects. Rtn. Nitin Rajore requested members to send in their nominations for vocational awards by February 29, 2024. The Rotary Vocational Service Excellence Awards are presented to individuals in recognition of outstanding professional achievement or service to others. President’s Announcements • In his salute to “The Spirit of Giving”, President Ajay thanked Rtn. Giri and R’Ann Usha Sakhrani, Rtn. Prabhat Singh and Rtn. PP Madhu Rathi for their generous donations. • Eye Check-up Camps for school children had been conducted in collaboration with the Community Eye Care Foundation at Anjuman I-Islam Urdu and English Medium High School at Bund Garden Road from January 30 to February 2, 2024, thanks to the untiring efforts of Rtn. Oni and R’Ann Nafisa Kakajiwala. • Five Green PCs were installed at Yashwantrao Chavan Residential School in Bhosari, which has 200 boarders and 100 day scholars. The PCs were donated by Rtn. Pravin Nadkarni and his son Tanai. • Rotary Youth Exchange students, along with counsellors, had a breakfast meet with DG Manjoo Phadke on February 3, 2024. Celebrations We offered birthday greetings to R’Ann Komal Shah, Rtn. Darshan Rathod, Rtn. Anjana Thakker, Rtn. Kanwal Guliani, and R’Ann Renu Mahaldar. Members celebrating their wedding anniversaries included Rtn. Pankaj and R’Ann Neelam Mehrotra, Rtn. Dr. Gururaj and R’Ann Dr. Sadhana Lachyan, Rtn. Akshay and R’Ann Uma Kejriwal, Rtn. Dr. Ramesh and R’Ann Shubh Sachdeva, Rtn. PP Ravi and R’Ann Jyoti Kapoor, and Rtn. Vineet and R’Ann Rohini Jain.
