The Rotary Club Pune Central recently organized two paper bag making workshops. The first workshop, conducted in partnership with the Sudiksha Foundation, took place on September 8, 2023. This workshop was held at Yerawada Prison and benefited 40 female inmates. Our workshop instructors, Smt. Vishakha Vichare and Smt. Minal Lohiya, led this initiative. Additionally, we organized another workshop for a tribal group in Pune. This group, which resides in a hamlet, regularly engages in activities such as making Karawand Sharbat and other products. Following their recent training, they have successfully produced and sold approximately 2,000 carry bags. These bags are not only aiding in their product sales but also contributing to the community. The women from the Adivasi area known as Pasli in Velha taluka are actively utilizing these bags for their business endeavors
