A successful Eye Check-up Camp is currently underway at the Ralegaon Siddhi School, founded by renowned social activist Shri Anna Hazare. The camp is being conducted by the Community Eye Care Foundation, led by the esteemed Dr. Shailesh, and organized and sponsored by the Rotary Club of Poona Central. Unfortunately, Oni and Nafisa were unable to participate in the camp due to attending a dear friend's funeral. Key Highlights of the Camp: • A total of 657 individuals were screened, including students and school staff. • 539 students had normal vision. • 58 students were advised to wear spectacles. • 16 individuals were referred to a clinic for further evaluation. • 7 school staff members were screened. • 2 patients were diagnosed with developmental cataracts. • 30 students were found to be colour vision blind. • 5 students had squint. • 10 students had amblyopia (lazy eye). • 4 individuals underwent dilated check-ups. The team behind the camp demonstrated remarkable dedication, traveling from their homes at 6:30 am and returning at 10:30 pm. Their selfless efforts are truly commendable, and we wish them all the best. The team is scheduled to meet with Shri Anna Hazare later on.
