Smart Cane, an attachment to the commonly used White Cane by Visually Impaired was developed by IIT Delhi. This device has embedded ultrasonic sensors which have a range of 3 metres and make the user aware of obstacles ahead from knee height upto the Head. Our Club has undertaken to donate 200 such canes to the needy. The first lot of 36 canes were distributed and training conducted by the IIT Delhi Team on 5th and 6th of August 2016. The second lot of 30 Canes were distributed to 30 College going girls on 27th and 28th of August.
