This year RCPC has initiated a new project, named Muskan, to engage members directly in a charitable cause. Under this project, members will visit an orphanage/old age home or school for the specially abled and spend some time with them. This activity will be conducted once a month and members who have their birthdays and anniversaries in the month will be invited to contribute as well as participate in the activity. For the month of July, NGO Sparsh Balgram, which takes care of HIV AIDS-infected children was chosen. On behalf of all the members who had their birthday or anniversary in the month of July, on Sunday July 31, 2022 RCPC team of Rtn. Shrikant and R’Ann Namrata Sarda, Rtn. Varun Nagpal, and Rtn. Lekha Nair visited the Sparsh Balgram and handed over ration supplies and snack packets to the children staying there. Contributions for the July activity were received from Rtns. Pres. Uday Dharmadhikari, Lekha Nair, and Vinay Biyani. Sparsh Balgram aims to give shelter to kids fighting for their lives against HIV/AIDS. There are 15 children of different age groups being taken care of. These children are born infected with HIV and their parents are no more. Their families have abandoned them and hence Sparsh Balgram is giving them a home and family environment. The NGO takes care of their education and medical requirements until they are in a job and can manage independently
