Project Asmita, a Multi-State Women Empowerment Program is an ongoing activity led by the Rotary Club of Pune Bibewadi. RCPC is a partner club in this project. Appropriately, the ASMITA Symposium was held on World Daughters’ Day, 24th September 2023, at the O Hotel, Pune. The Chief Guest for this function was veteran actor Ms Meenakshi Seshadri. She gave an impassioned speech, recounting incidents in her life when she was subject to harassment, and lauded the project. Since this program was held at the same time as the Chess Tournament, one could only attend for a short while, but was fortunate to be present when the Chief Guest spoke.
