Tuesday, December 27, 2022, was a historic day for Rotary Club of Pune Central — RY 2022–23. For the first time, 300 pairs of glasses, sponsored by R’Ann Nafisa Kakajiwala, were distributed to Yerawada Jail inmates. Jail Superintendent Mr. Shivshankar Patil and RCPC President Rtn. Uday Dharmadhikari distributed the spectacles to the inmates. RCPC members R’Ann Nafisa Kakajiwala, Rtn. Lekha Nair, Rtn. Delshad Karanjia, and Rtn. Madhvi Kshettry attended the event. A big “thank you” to Rtn. Oni and R’Ann Nafisa Kakajiwala, and special thanks to Rtn. Surendra Shroff for organising and coordinating with prison authorities.
